Throughout the three summer months, Kaleisia will be featuring inspiring prints from local photographers. All photos will be available for purchase and 10% of all sales will be donated to KIVA.

We've found the greatest person ever to lead our Book Club. Join us on Sept. 6th to meet Jessica Locke who has graciously accepted this leadership role.

We will be picking books for future months and decide on a fun name for the club. The meet-up will be very casual and fun. If you love to read, stop in!

Book club meetings are a great opportunity to meet new people and share your perspective on a variety of issues.

September 14th is the official "Autumn Festival" for Vietnam, China and Korea. We're joining farmers in these countries to celebrate the bountiful summer harvest and bringing traditions from far away places to Kaleisia.

Sept. 13th - 30th - Traditional Chinese 中秋節 Sweets
Upon entering a relative's home during the Autumn Moon, a plate of sweets is served to guests. Kaleisia will have available for your enjoyment a selection that includes the famous moon cake, melon seeds, lotus candy, rice cake, pomelo and more. $5/plate.

Sept. 14th @ 6:30pm - Traditional Vietnamese Trung Thu
In additional to visiting relatives during this holiday, the Vietnamese community visits their local temple. If you are intersted in joining the Kaleisia family on our trip to the Buddhist Temple, please email Kim@thetealounge for details. (FREE)

Sept. 15th @ 7pm - Traditional Korean Chuseok Gathering
We're celebrating Autumn Moon the traditional Korean style. Guests will enjoy authentic Korean teas, rice cakes and treats. Kim will perform the Panyaro tea ceremony in a traditional hanbok (Korean dress) and share the meaning behind the Chuseok celebration.
$20 per person / Only 12 spots available / RSVP required

On the occasion of the approach of the Harvest Moon on the 15th, astrologer Louise Raterman will lead a thorough introductory workshop to Astrology.

Louise will explain what astrology is and its historical background. Together you will look at the planetary placement and the unique birth map, explore and discuss how astrology is used as a tool for helping discover one's own potentialities and the psyche of others.

Explanation of relationship charts and electional (event timing) charts will be included. Louise is a professional astrologer with more than 20 years of experience.
